UltraReach carbon fibre water fed poles for window cleaners

Built to go higher.

Carbon fibre water fed poles with patented Anti-Spin Technology and two insulated bottom sections tested to 80kV. Light enough for a full day's round, rigid enough at every height we build.

Why Reach

Built by window cleaners who got tired of poles that twist.

Reach Poles was started in 2023 by a small team of window cleaners who needed a pole that was light, strong, and did not twist and wear out like the ones we were buying. So we built our own — the first in the UK with Anti-Spin Technology keyed into the pole itself. We have not stopped developing it since: a completely new version with new clamps landed in June 2025, and we believe we have the best pole on the market at the best price.

  • 1120g

    Ultra lightweight

Carbon fibre with two insulated bottom sections, so the pole you pick up at eight in the morning still feels light at four in the afternoon. An 18ft Type R weighs approximately 1120g.

  • Patented

    Anti-Spin Technology

A key built into the pole itself, like a woodruff key, stops the sections rotating under load. The pole stays aligned and the clamps stop wearing out.

  • 80kV

    Look up before you extend

Every pole leaves us with two insulated bottom sections tested to 80kV. It is a last line of defence and nothing more — electricity arcs across gaps, and no pole is safe near overhead lines. Distance is the only thing that keeps you alive up there.

Safety

You do not have to touch a power line for it to kill you.

On 6 April 2024 a window cleaner was hit by a flashover of 33,000 volts that jumped 2 metres from an overhead line to his water fed pole. He never touched the cable. He lost his left forearm.

We make the poles, so we will say it plainly: no insulation rating on any pole would have stopped that. Distance is the only thing that keeps you safe up there. Look up before you extend.

Look up. Look out. One simple habit before every job.

Look Up Look Out is a non-commercial, not-for-profit public safety campaign, run by John and Jason Knight after Jason was electrocuted at work in 2024.

  • Our patented Anti-Spin system is built into the pole itself, like a woodruff key. It stops the sections rotating or twisting under load — so the pole stays aligned, the clamps do not wear, and you waste no time repositioning at height.
