Type R Anti-Spin is the flagship. The Anti-Spin key is built into the pole itself, so the sections stay keyed together instead of twisting in your hands, and it does not rely on the clamps to do it.
UltraLight is high-modulus carbon fibre, the lightest and stiffest poles we build: the HiMod poles with Anti-Spin, and the Ultra Light S without it.
Type S is the everyday carbon fibre pole without the Anti-Spin key, at a keener price, which suits a second pole or a starting round.
An 18ft pole covers standard two-storey residential work. 25ft gives you comfortable reach for taller facades and conservatories, and 33ft and above is built for commercial work — shop fronts, offices and three-storey residential. If you are between two, tell us about your round and we will point you at the right one.
We sell poles at 10, 18, 22, 25, 26, 28, 29, 33, 34, 38, 40, 43, 50, 54, 60ft. Working height and pole length are different figures: the UltraReach 10R Anti-Spin 4-Section is a 10ft pole with a working height of approx 16ft. Where we publish a working reach, it is on the pole's own page.
More sections for the same length means a shorter pole when it is collapsed. That is what the Compact builds are: an extra section, so the same reach packs down shorter for the van and for storage. For example, the 25ft Type R comes with 5 or 6 sections.
Extension sections are sold for 4, 5 and 6-section poles. They do not carry Anti-Spin, so for a true Anti-Spin pole use the pole on its own. See water fed pole spare parts.
Brushes, goosenecks and hose are sold separately from the pole, on the water fed pole brushes page.
Every pole we sell has two insulated bottom sections. That is a last line of defence, not protection: no pole is safe near overhead lines. Read our overhead power line safety guidance before you extend.
Questions
Our patented Anti-Spin system is built into the pole itself, like a woodruff key. It stops the sections rotating or twisting under load — so the pole stays aligned, the clamps do not wear, and you waste no time repositioning at height.
No. Our poles have a hidden internal rail track that stops them spinning even with the clamps fully open. Unlike others, our anti-spin is not simply based on the clamp.
Our poles are completely circular, because that is the strongest shape. As soon as the circle is distorted into an oval, hex or other form, its rigidity is compromised.
See for yourself: our Facebook page has a back-to-back test of the UltraReach pole against the Gardiner SLX.
No. Every Reach Pole has two insulated bottom sections tested to 80kV, and that test is real, but it is a last line of defence and not permission to work near overhead lines. Electricity arcs. In April 2024 a window cleaner lost his forearm to a 33,000-volt flashover that jumped around two metres to his pole without ever touching the cable, and no insulation rating on any pole would have stopped it. Water on a pole makes it worse, not better. The only thing that keeps you safe near overhead lines is distance — look up before you extend, and if there are lines anywhere near the job, do not work there. See our overhead power line safety page.
Tell us the height you need to reach and the work you do, and we will tell you which pole and which length to buy. We are window cleaners — we use these every day.
