Privacy policy

What we collect

We collect only what you type into the enquiry form or the basket checkout on this website: your name, your email address, and — if you choose to give them — your phone number and business name, along with your message and, for an order, the items in your basket. When you pay by card we also receive your delivery address and phone number from the checkout. Your card details go to Stripe, never to us.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, to confirm an order and arrange payment and delivery, and to keep a record of what was agreed. We do not use your details for marketing and we do not sell or share them with anyone for their own purposes.

Who processes it

• Submissions from this site are delivered to Reach Poles through Pulse, the system Dalton Digital use to run this website. Pulse records the submission and emails it to Reach Poles.
• Card payments are taken by Stripe, which handles your card details under its own privacy policy and sends us the order, your name, email, phone number and delivery address.
• Orders and order enquiries are kept in Reach Poles' own order system, a database hosted by Neon in London. Only named Reach Poles staff can sign in to it, with a password and a code from their phone, and every time someone views or exports customer details it is recorded.
• We reply from our own email and telephone accounts, so your details are also held there in the ordinary course of correspondence.

Your basket

The items in your basket are stored in your own browser, on your own device, and are never sent anywhere until you choose to check out. Clearing your basket or your browser storage removes them.

Advertising cookies

We use Google Ads, and the Google tag on this site tells us which of our ads bring people here and lead to an order. It only sets cookies if you choose Accept on the cookie banner; until then, and if you choose Decline, Google receives no cookies from us - only a basic signal that the page was visited, with nothing that identifies you. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back. Google's own use of the data is covered by its privacy policy at policies.google.com.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to answer you, and are then deleted. Records of orders are kept for as long as the law requires us to keep business records (for tax, that is currently six years), and are then deleted. You can ask us to delete your details at any point, and we will, except where the law requires us to keep a record of a sale.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@reachpoles.co.uk or call 01332 470640 and we will deal with it. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
